About the Journal

The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research (IJMR) welcomes high-quality, original research contributions that adhere to the following guidelines. Please review these instructions carefully before submitting your manuscript through our Open Journal System (OJS).


1. General Requirements

  1. Originality: Submissions must be original and not previously published or under consideration elsewhere.
  2. Plagiarism: All manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism. IJMR has a strict zero-tolerance policy for unethical practices.
  3. Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English (British or American, consistently used).
  4. Scope: Articles must align with the journal’s multidisciplinary focus areas.

2. Manuscript Structure

All manuscripts should be formatted in the following order:

a. Title Page

  • Title of the manuscript (15–20 words, concise and descriptive).
  • Full names of all authors, including affiliations, job titles, and email addresses.
  • Corresponding author’s contact details (email and phone).

b. Abstract

  • A structured abstract (150–250 words) including:
    • Background
    • Objectives
    • Methods
    • Findings/Results
    • Conclusions
  • Include 4–6 keywords.

c. Main Text

  • Introduction: Clearly state the research problem, objectives, and significance.
  • Literature Review: Provide a brief review of relevant literature and research gaps.
  • Methodology: Detail the research design, data collection methods, and analysis techniques.
  • Results: Present findings with tables, figures, and statistical analysis (if applicable).
  • Discussion: Analyze findings in the context of existing literature.
  • Conclusion: Summarize the key findings, implications, and future research directions.

d. References

  • Follow APA 7th Edition for in-text citations and reference formatting.

e. Supplementary Materials

  • Appendices, questionnaires, or additional data may be included as supplementary files.

3. Formatting Guidelines

  1. File Format: Submit in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
  2. Page Layout:
    • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point size.
    • Line Spacing: 1.5 throughout, including references.
    • Margins: 1-inch margins on all sides.
  3. Tables and Figures:
    • Numbered consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1).
    • Provide titles and legends.
    • Submit figures as separate high-resolution files (e.g., .jpg, .png).
  4. Word Count:
    • Research Articles: 5,000–8,000 words (including references).
    • Review Articles: 4,000–6,000 words.
    • Short Communications: 2,000–3,000 words.

4. Submission Process

  1. Register/Login: Authors must register or log in at the IJMR Submission Portal.
  2. Submit Manuscript: Upload the manuscript and supplementary materials in the system.
  3. Declaration Form: Authors must complete and upload the “Author Declaration Form” available on the journal website.
  4. Manuscript Status: Track the review process through the OJS dashboard.

5. Peer Review Process

  1. Initial Screening: Manuscripts are screened for adherence to guidelines and journal scope.
  2. Double-Blind Peer Review: Submissions undergo rigorous double-blind peer review by subject experts.
  3. Revisions: Authors may be requested to revise and resubmit manuscripts based on reviewer feedback.

6. Copyright and Licensing

  1. By submitting a manuscript, authors agree to transfer copyright to IJMR upon acceptance.
  2. Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.

7. Ethical Considerations

  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence their work.
  • Human/Animal Research: For studies involving humans or animals, include ethics approval details and consent statements.

8. Article Processing Charges (APCs)

  • IJMR does not charge submission or processing fees.
